From the Chair

Welcome to all members, both old and new.

After many months of discussions, investigations, and revisiting the starting point, followed by more discussions and investigations, I am pleased to announce that we are very close to launching our brand new, modern website Ideally, this would have happened sooner, but life sometimes interferes with our best intentions.

The Association is managed by volunteers, and we do not receive any payment.

Membership fees and donations are used to cover running costs, such as telephone, website, printing, and postage (when necessary), and to contribute towards research and hospital equipment for the benefit the GBS and CIDP patients.

As Chair, I am incredibly proud of the committee members running the Association. Despite sometimes facing their own health and personal challenges, they generously dedicate their time to assist, inform, and support individuals diagnosed with GBS or CIDP. They continue on the legacy of past office bearers.

Virtual Coffee Catch-Ups have been held online for the past few years, and it has gone from strength to strength with the numbers attending growing each month. Visitors include include interstate and international attendees. Held on the second Saturday of each month at 10 am from February through November visitors are welcome.
